Should I use any sort of lubrication on the needle bearing?

Lubrication for the needle bearing is not necessary, but you can put some 2 stroke oil on the needle bearing to ensure they are ready for when the engine starts, but again it is not required as the needle bearings are lubricated by the gas/oil mixture during use.
