Yes these wheels are compatible with disc or caliper brakes. You would need to get the 6 bolt rear sprocket for these wheels 6 Bolt Rear Sprocket (Mag Wheel Compatible) - 44 Tooth - Bicycle-Engines.com
Is this wheelset compatible with regular caliper brakes? (Rim brakes.) Aluminum 26" Motorized Bicycle Mag Wheel Set
I would like to use these wheels with caliper rim brakes and then upgrade to disc brakes at a later time. Will rim brakes damage the alloy wheel?
