The engine and engine covers are made of aluminum and can be powder coated if properly prepared. It is extremely important the combustion areas are not coated. Some of the engines come with a silver paint on them that may need to be removed before applying the powder coating to prevent it from separating. Another option is using an engine heat resistance enamel paint with matching clear coat.
