I have this engine, I'm rebuilding. It needs a new cylinder and piston. Is the cdh 49mm iron sleeve compatible? Silver Slant Complete 66cc/80cc Bicycle Engine Kit - 2 Stroke Motorized Bike Engine Kit
I was trying to research if I could upgrade to the cdh or donsp 49mm high hole piston and matching iron cylinder. Im doing a teardown after a decent amount of running time. My cylinder and piston are torched. It ran good, but they do need rebuilding now and again. No complaints, it's been reliable and still ran good. I want to try and get a little more out of it. I'm seeing some measurements put this cylinder at a 45mm stud spacing? Some ads for the 49mm cylinder are showing a 43mm stud spacing... I'm not sure... Should I just replace with a 47, or could I get some advice on whether or not I should shoot for upgrades? I know I want a better quality head and ignition. I plan on porting and polishing everything regardless. I'm jetted with custom expansion chamber. Ran great, but I want more. Any suggestions for fool-proof modifications? Any suggestions for parts that are known to work? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.
